Summary

The revised version of Addenbrooke’s cognitive examination (ACE-R) is a screening test for dementia. The ACE-R integrates the mini-mental state examination (MMSE) with new items in order to improve sensitivity to mild cognitive impairment and help differentiate more dementia subtypes than MMSE alone. The authors describe an amendment to the test known as ACE-CZ, available at www.pcp.lf3.cuni.cz/adcentrum/, derived from a Czech adaptation made in 2009. The new version was designed to achieve better agreement with the original English version and the Czech version of MMSE, as compared with the previous Czech version of the test.
