Overview

Trigeminal schwannoma is a slowly growing tumor originating from Schwann cells of the trigeminal nerve. It represents 0.2% of all intracranial tumours and approximatelly 2–3% of intracranial schwannomas. Localization in the extracranial part of the nerve in the fossa pterygopalatina and fossa infratemporalis is very rare. In this work, we discuss clinical symptoms, diagnostics with imaging examinations, treatment and relevant literature

The Editorial Board declares that the manuscriptmet the ICMJE “uniform requirements” for biomedical papers.
